Kotohira Shrine.
In 1640 (Kan’ei 17), Takatoshi Ikoma, a feudal lord who was transferred from Sanuki, divided the spirit of Konpira Daigongen, a deity of the Mount Zozu Konpira Shrine in an area where belief was strong in those days, in order to share it with another shrine and enshrined it together with the god Inari Daimyojin, which had been worshipped by the Utechi clan as protector of the demon gate, to dedicate the shrine to the prosperity and peace of the Utechi clan.
